Richard Segalman’s black-and-white monotypes seem to bring his long career full circle, reminding the viewer of his powerful charcoal drawings that launched his career in 1964. His subject matter ranges from Coney Island’s crowded beaches and the frenetic streets of Manhattan to solitary figures in serene contemplation. With his works in many prestigious private and public collections, a new limited edition of 24 copies celebrates his continually evolving artistry.

A letterpress bookplate on archival paper, sourced from pieces of the artist’s original works, are signed and numbered by the artist and hand-mounted into the front of the publication.
